Western Washington is getting some rather unusual active weather moving through the region.  Thunder and lighting has been reported all over the area, with heavy rains and more.

This is all due to an upper level low pressure system that has created unstable air and thunderstorms throughout the day.

During this type of weather pattern, the unstable air mass forms in the mountains, and is carried into the lowlands into Saturday.

Here is a time lapse from yesterday from Greg Johnson in Hansville on the Kitsap Peninsula.
