ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Police on Wednesday released the identity of the man whose body was found in Ship Creek in downtown Anchorage.

The body of 35-year-old Jack H. Harshfield of Anchorage was found near the creek dam Tuesday. His relatives have been notified.

Police say there was no indication of foul play, and the Alaska State Medical Examiner will determine how he died.

It was not immediately clear why he was at Ship Creek since police said it didn’t appear he was fishing or homeless.
