Seattle Century Ride For Charity July 28
Join the scenic bicycle tour of Seattle, taking a 50, 85 or 100 mile ride on Saturday, July 28. It all benefits Seattle’s Bike Works. Bike Works builds sustainable communities by educating youth and promoting bicycling. For more than a decade this non-profit organization has worked to educate and empower youth through bicycle programs. Bike Works makes bicycling accessible and affordable to the Seattle community.
The century ride will give you views of Puget Sound, Lake Union, Lake Washington, Lake Sammamish, Burke Gilman Trail, Lake Sammamish Trail, Carnation, Duvall, Bothel, Redmond, Issaquah, Bellevue, Mercer Island, and an optional loop to Snoqualmie Falls.
The courses are well marked, and you will have a ride map, ride-along medics and mechanics. The ride is well supported and stocked with snacks at the designated rest stops. Support vehicles will be on course just in case you need any help.
Then at the finish, you’ll enjoy a local, amazing grilled salmon fillet dinner with local vegetables and salad, appetizers and dessert served with a cold microbrew or two in the free beer garden.
The Seattle Century takes place in The Brig at Magnuson Park. Enter Magnuson Park at 74th Avenue. Park your car in any of the open lots then walk to The Brig to check in. The Brig is the 4th driveway on your left. Volunteer parking lot attendants will help guide you.
