Microsoft Unveils New Logo

REDMOND, Wash. (CBS Seattle) — Microsoft unveils a new look after going with the same logo the past quarter-century.

Replacing the “wavy” window that adorned Microsoft products for the past 25 years, Microsoft’s new logo is a simple four boxes that still uses the same red, green, blue, and yellow colors.

Microsoft also replaced the logos for a number of its major products, including Office and Xbox.

This face change has come at the end of a really rough year for the software giant. Microsoft posted its first loss since it became a public company and its upcoming Windows 8 OS has been panned by critics.

The new logo has already been rolled out on Microsoft’s website.
