Labor Day weekend will be filled with hot air balloons, kids activities, classic car show, music, street dances, Volksmarch, great food, a beer and wine garden and so much more! Head to Sequim for the first ever Sequim Balloon Festival August 31 – September 3. There are 15 different events over four days. More than just a balloon festival, it is a family friendly Labor Day weekend extravaganza!

It all kicks off on Friday, August 31 with a concert by the band Rare Earth! You remember their hits “I Just Want to Celebrate” and “Get Ready”! You’ll also see ‘The Little Bees’, hot air balloons that are 5 stories tall and shaped like honey bees. Tickets start at $10 and are available online HERE. It’s a great way to get the festival started. Doors open at 6:00pm and the concert begins at 7:00pm.

The balloons will be taking of from the Sequim Valley Airport each morning of the event around 6:00am, September 1 – 3. Join the fun! You can purchase your one day event pass for $19/person or a three-day pass for $29/person to see the hot air balloons. You can also purchase a hot air balloon ride for $250/person! Plus, on Saturday and Sunday nights, starting at 8:00pm, you’ll want to see the spectacular Twilight in the Olympics balloon glow. There will be a reflection pond the size of a football field for photographic beauty. Watch the balloons glow and fill the night sky as they reflect on the quiet waters. Leading up to the balloon glow there will be street dances, live music, food court, and a wine and beer garden to enjoy.
