Whether you are looking for a new furry friend or just want to get out and walk for a local animal charity, there are lots of fun events this fall in Puget Sound for you and your pets!

Pooch Pool Party

You and your pooch have waited all year. Finally…the pool is open for dogs! Watch your best friend paddle around with other dogs, lunge through the Lazy River, and splash in the pool’s beach-like entry. There will be contests for dogs, an agility course and food and drinks for purchase. There are two sessions available. Tickets available at the door. Remember to bring pet food donations for the Dugan Foundation!

Each dollar raised at PAWSwalk helps give injured, orphaned and homeless animals a second chance, whether it’s an orphaned songbird who needs a safe place to grow up, or a stray cat looking to find a warm house and a forever family. Held in conjunction with the Lacey Community Market Pet Days. In addition to the 5K or 1 mile event, you and your pet can enjoy the activities, displays, food booths, & local market vendors at from 10:00am – 4:00pm. You are welcome to run or walk with or without your dog! Proceeds will benefit “Tucker’s Fund”, to provide emergency vet care to needy animals. “Tucker’s Fund” is administered by Thurston County Animal Services. Register online HERE.

Every year, hundreds of people participate in Harbor Hounds with dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds to benefit the Prison Pet Partnership, and the Rotary Club of Gig Harbor Midday. Participation is easy: simply register and arrive with your dog at check-in any time between 10:00am and 3:00pm. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the waterfront. As you walk, have your entry card stamped by event staff. At the end of the walk, turn in your card for a chance to win our drawing for great prizes! Register online.
