Hunting, picking, and eating mushrooms! A delicious delicacy that grows right here in the Northwest. Here are some of our favorite ways to celebrate the mushroom!
Guided Mushroom Tours
550 12th Avenue
Seattle, WA 98122
Guided Northwest Mushroom Tours are held in the fall and spring for individuals or for groups of up to six. You must be 21 years of age or older and in good condition for hiking, as the terrain is often steep and rugged and often off trail. A typical foray will cover between 4 and 6 miles of hiking. Excursions begin at 8:30am, and you can choose a full day (six hour) adventure that includes lunch, or a half day (three hour) adventure. Foraging areas are within two hours’ drive time from Seattle and are typically in the Snoqualmie Pass or Stevens Pass areas. Once back at Terra Fleurs, you’ll get to identify and sort your collection of mushrooms over a glass of wine, beer or coffee. Register online.

Foraged and Found Edibles
In 2001, Chef Jeremy Faber, took his culinary degree to heart and began learning as much as he could about the Northwest’s locally wild food sources, and came to admire and appreciate the mushroom. Soon, Foraged and Found Edibles began providing locally sourced mushrooms to Seattle farmer’s markets and restaurants. Today, you can order his bounty online or shop for the delicious mushrooms at local farmer’s markets. Let Jeremy and his crew do the foraging, and you can enjoy the harvest.
