Best of Taste of Tulalip 2012

It’s the most talked about wine and food event in the Northwest!

Taste of Tulalip kicks off on Friday, November 9 with a multi-course Celebration Dinner, prepared by Tulalip’s own Executive Chef Perry Mascitti and his team, paired with premium wines from around the globe selected by Tulalip’s award winning Sommelier and wine buyer Tommy Thompson. Your emcee for the evening is “Thirsty Girl”, Leslie Sbrocco, host of the San Francisco PBS restaurant review show, Check, Please! Seating is limited to 400 guests.

Saturday, November 10 is filled with a plethora of wine and food demos, chef challenges, a wine seminar, a VIP Magnum Party and is capped with the Grand Taste. The Grand Taste features over 120 wineries from Washington, Oregon, California, France and Italy, along with a craft beer “pool garden”. Attendance is limited to 1,800.

This year’s Taste of Tulalip culinary guest star is award-winning chef, cookbook author, and food activist Marcus Samuelsson. Samuelsson, born in Ethiopia and raised in Sweden, is a New York City restauranteur. He has cooked for the Clinton and Obama administrations at the White House, and in 2010, was the winning chef on Bravo’s Top Chef Masters. Samuelsson will be featured at events throughout the weekend. The Honorary Winemaker is Woodinville, Washington’s Chris Sparkman of Sparkman Cellars.

Hotel rooms and spa appointments will become near and dear during this two-day extravaganza. It is suggested that guests reserve their getaway room early at Tulalip’s AAA Four Diamond resort.
