(CBS Seattle) – A teen who previously attended Skyline High School in Sammamish has been arrested for allegedly making threats towards the school.

The 16-year-old was arrested Tuesday at his home in Edmonds, according to the Sammamish Police Department. Detectives were able to seize three computers and two cellphones belonging to the teen. A forensic search of one of the computers found digital evidence linking the suspect to the threat suggesting he would shoot up the school. No evidence found suggests anyone else was working with the teen.

Investigators claim to have also found evidence that the same suspect was involved with a similar threat against Lynnwood’s Meadowdale High School last spring.

On September 19th, an anonymous poster on the website 4chan.org that claimed he would bring his father’s machine gun to Skyline and open fire on students in the common area. The post also included a photo of the weapon, according to police.

The King County Sheriff’s Office notified the school moments after the post was reported, forcing district officials to close the school on Thursday, September 20th.

The teen was booked at the King County Youth Services Center. Detectives plan to forward the case to the King County Prosecutor’s Office Wednesday.
