State Partakes In ‘Earthquake Shakeout’ Drill Thursday

At 10:18am on 10/18/2012, thousands in Washington State will participate in the largest earthquake drill ever. During The Great Washington Shakeout, Washington State Emergency Management Staff are hoping for one million participants in this year’s drill.

More than 12.5 million people were registered to participate in ShakeOut drills worldwide in 2011. Learning to Drop, Cover, and Hold On is one way to ensure that you and your family members and co-workers are prepared to survive and recover quickly in the event of an earthquake.
