Seattle Arbor Day Celebration Invites You on October 20

On Saturday, October 20, you and your family are invited to join Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn, members of the Seattle City Council, and an interdepartmental team of City of Seattle employees to celebrate Arbor Day and plant new trees!

Volunteers will help plant Japanese Maples and Dogwood Trees from 9:00am – 12:00pm at Seattle City Light’s Viewland-Hoffman Substation. Help plant a tree, and spread mulch around the existing Oak trees. Gloves and tools will be provided, along with coffee and refreshments.

Kids of all ages (6+ with a parent/guardian) will be able to climb a 30-foot oak with ropes and safety gear (instruction will be provided)!

The Viewland-Hoffman Substation is located at:
614 N. 105th St.
