Suspect Arrested In Anchorage Shooting

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — A suspect has been arrested in an Anchorage shooting.

Police say a 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting Tuesday afternoon in which a 24-year-old Anchorage man was shot. Police say Lorne Gayzagian was shot in the torso after having a verbal altercation with another man.

Police say Phathasinh Veet Sihabout has been charged with assault and misconduct involving a weapon. Police say he admitted to having a verbal altercation with the victim.

Sihabout is due to be arraigned Wednesday at Anchorage Jail Court.
