It’s a time of harvest, and sharing with those less fortunate. Help stop hunger in Puget Sound by giving to one of these food drives.

UW Police and UW Intercollegiate Athletics team up for the 33rd Annual Husky Food Drive. This year the event moves to CenturyLink Field for Homecoming as the Huskies host the Oregon State Beavers! Come out to watch the Huskies and make a cash or non-perishable food donation to help feed families in need. Your caring support of this long-standing Husky tradition is appreciated.

Rainier Place HPB in Tacoma will be collecting food donations for Northwest Harvest, St. Leo Food Connection, Salvation Army and other Tacoma-based food banks. No expired food or perishables please. Help reach out and help to feed the hungry in your community this holiday season.

This year the Seahawks host the Minnesota Vikings for Tackle Hunger. Staff and volunteers will canvas Century Link field gathering donations from fans.

Nominated for Best Blues Event many times by the Washington Blues Society members, it is a great chance to be generous and enjoy a great show! Everyone has a great time. Start the season of giving and caring off right at the 12th Annual Jam for Cans! Stop hunger! Bring 10 cans or $10 to attend. All the proceeds go to Northwest Harvest.

Green Lake Gobble & Mashed Potato Munch Off

The event consists of a 10K run/walk, a 5K run/walk, a free kids dash and a post-race celebration that includes the crowd pleasing Mashed Potato Munch Off competitive eating contest. The event supports Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission through a cash donation as well as the well-needed onsite canned food drive. Please bring 2 cans of food to the event! In 2011, nearly one ton of canned food was donated! Register online.

6th Annual Seattle Turkey Trot

Take part in the 5k jog, walk or run! All proceeds raised go directly to the Ballard Food Bank to help them provide food for those in need in the Seattle area. Register online.
