PORT ANGELES, Wash. (AP) — The state Ecology Department says 840 gallons of heavy fuel spilled when a fuel barge overflowed as it was being filled at a terminal in Port Angeles.
The department says the spill is contained in a containment boom that was deployed during the fueling operation.
The Coast Guard and marine spill cleanup crews have responded to the spill. It was reported at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday at the Tesoro Port Angeles Terminal where the barge owned by Harley Marine Services was being filled.
