Everything old is new again at Seattle Center Winterfest, with six weeks of festive, FREE, fun-filled entertainment.Visit Seattle Center Armory, restored to its original grandeur and dressed for the season. Here you’ll find the timeless Winter Train & Village, warm roasted nuts and other fine edibles. Outside, sparkling lights illuminate the center of Seattle Center in its 50th Anniversary year. Glide into the season with the greatest of ease and excitement. For novice or Olympiad, Winterfest Ice Rink offers fun for all. Admission includes skate rental: $7 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, and $2 children ages 5 and under. Cash only. FREE admission to watch. Special hours: closes at 4pm on Dec. 24; closed on Dec. 25; closes at 11:30pm on Dec. 31.

Join in the fun! It’s art, ice, and everything nice this winter in Tacoma for the second year of holiday ice skating. Franciscan Polar Plaza is a special place for the community to come together and make memories to last a lifetime. Enjoy music, special events, and more in partnership with Tacoma Art Museum. Parking at Tacoma Art Museum is available under the building and is managed by Republic Parking Northwest. Cost is $2 an hour with an all-day rate of $12 for up to 10 hours. Metered on-street parking is also available in the downtown area. Skating is $8/general admission; kids 5 and under are $4; skating rental is $2. Skate and celebrate at the Chaplins Bellevue Volkswagen Ice Arena, the region’s largest open-air holiday ice skating experience! This beloved Magic Season tradition is the perfect memory-making activity for family and friends. The festive venue offers shelter for all-weather skating, seasonal food and beverage concessions, music from STAR 101.5, and a series of special events including 2-For-1 Tuesdays, Free Lesson Wednesdays and Stroller Skate Thursdays. Admission is $10, includes skate rentals for all ages, including toddlers. Personal skates are allowed, $7 admission. Credit cards accepted. Children sizes range from a toddler 9 through 13.
