The 18th annual ‘Fantasy Lights at Spanaway Park,’ the largest holiday drive-through display in the Northwest, featuring nearly 300 elaborate displays and thousands of sparkling lights. The beautiful two-mile drive along Spanaway Lake has become a memorable lakeside tradition for the entire family. As you drive, dial your car radio to FM 93.7 to listen to a selection of special holiday music performed by a local high school to add to the festive atmosphere of the park. Fantasy Lights will operate every night including Christmas and New Year’s Eve, from 5:30pm to 9:00pm Since this is a very popular event, please anticipate long waits of up to one hour to enter the park on Friday and Saturday evenings. Enjoy Fantasy Lights Sundays through Thursdays for a more relaxed experience.

Everything old is new again at Seattle Center Winterfest, with six weeks of FREE, fun-filled entertainment, Nov. 23 – Jan. 6, 2013. Visit Seattle Center Armory, restored to its original grandeur and decorated for the season. Here you’ll find the timeless Winter Train & Village, warm roasted nuts and other fine edibles. Outside, sparkling lights illuminate the center of Seattle Center in its 50th Anniversary year. The Winterfest Ice Rink returns, along with ice sculpting, student showcases and live performances. This annual festival opens with Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra and rings in the New Year with dramatic fireworks and The Rhythm Nation.

The Argosy Christmas Ship sails to different Puget Sound waterfront communities, over 45 in total. Choirs onboard sing 20-minute performances to these communities, all broadcast via state-of-the-art speaker system. On shore, thousands of people gather around roaring bonfires anticipating the arrival of the Christmas Ship. You can either join aboard the Christmas Ship or one of the Parade ships that follow. The Monroe Chamber hosts its annual holiday celebration. Wine and craft beer lovers will enjoy an assortment of local brews, wines and holiday snacks inside 12 businesses up and down Lewis and Main Streets. The Monroe Concert Band will provide evening entertainment with soloists and duets at various locations. Tickets for craft beer and wine tasting are $20/person with valid ID (21+) and can be purchased by calling 360.794.5488 or by walk-up on the event day. Children are welcome inside participating businesses where alcohol is served when accompanied by an adult. Proceeds benefit the Monroe Chamber of Commerce.
