In the Northwest, the holidays are celebrated on land and sea! Head out of town for the weekend and visit the Bavarian town of Leavenworth, the historic port towns of Port Townsend, Westport or Ilwaco, or the Scandanavian themed Poulsbo for a magical weekend with the family.

Lighted Boat Parade and Crab Pot Christmas Tree

Celebrate the lighting of a huge “Christmas Tree” made for stacked and tied crab pots! The lighting will be followed by a parade of decorated, lighted fishing, charter and pleasure boats from the Port of llwaco to Cape Disappointment at 6:00pm, weather permitting.

Join the South Beach Buccaneers as they welcome Santa to the South Beach! Santa arrives at the Westport Marina at 10:30am and is escorted to the Lens Building at the Maritime Museum by enthusiastic children and the Westport Fire Department. Visit Santa, have your photo taken and play with the pirates in the Lecture Hall. Refreshments and the special “kids only” store will be available until 1:00pm.

Hear caroling in the streets with the Wild Rose Chorale. Santa arrives by Engine No. 3, Port Townsend’s vintage white fire truck. The truck brings Santa to Haller Fountain for the Treelighting at 4:30pm. Horse-drawn carriage rides are offered by Port Townsend Livery. Charming shops and galleries, over 50 restaurants, and a wide variety of special events make the holidays in Port Townsend a memorable experience.

Then at 6:00pm, you can watch the Oak Harbor Boat Parade of Lights from the Coupeville Wharf (Weather Permitting).
