This Tuesday, November 27 marks the iconic musician’s big 70th! Celebrate Seattle’s own legend, Jimi Hendrix for FREE in EMP’s Sky Church.
Between 10:00am and 5:00pm, you’ll see Jimi’s original white Fender Stratocaster from his legendary performance at Woodstock, video birthday wishes, opportunities to write your own birthday greeting to the guitar master, and rare footage of Hendrix performances, including a music video for “Hey Joe” filmed in 1967.
You’ll see The Jimi Hendrix Experience performing “Wild Thing” at the Monterey Pop Festival, and interviews with Chas Chandler, Noel Redding, Billy Cox, Keith Altham, Kathy Etchingham, Linda (Keith) Porter, Zoot Money, and much more.
Plus, seventy year-olds receive free admission to all EMP exhibits all day long. Valid ID required.
