BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A Blackfoot High School student is suing school, city and police officials in federal court over the prosecution of an alleged hazing incident two years ago.

The student, who uses the name John Doe, is asking for damages in an amount to be proven at trial. According to the lawsuit filed earlier this week, Doe was one of several teens who faced charges after a student reported he was bullied and held down by fellow athletes while others sexually assaulted him through his clothing.

Doe says police had no indication he participated or was even present for the incident. The bulk of the charges against him were dismissed, and he was cleared of two misdemeanors.

He contends the school, city and law enforcement officials were negligent and maliciously prosecuted him.
