(CBS Seattle) - The hardest-working band in rock ‘n’ roll, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, takes the stage at the legendary Ed Sullivan Theater this Friday as the musical guest on The Late Show with David Letterman.

Spencer — along with guitarist Judah Bauer and drummer Russell Simins —  are in the midst of a world tour in support of their latest offering, Meat and Bone. If you took our advice, you caught the electrifying trio at the Crocodile back in November after you read our interview with Spencer himself.

Also appearing on Letterman Friday is actresses Catherine Zeta Jones and Allison Williams.
