The Queen Anne Easy Street Records store will close for good on Friday, January 18.
But before you let your tears stream down your face, you can send the store off on a good note! You are invited to help say farewell at its final free in-store concert with Yo La Tengo; It’s happening on the store’s last day of business beginning at 7:00 pm.
And for those who can’t make the Friday evening performance, there’s a store-wide ”20 percent off” sale for the remainder of its tenure.
The local business’ flagship store in West Seattle in 1988 will still remain open.
Yo La Tengo’s new album, Fade, was released Tuesday.
