Fairbanks Gun Dealer Accused In Murder-For-Hire Plot

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — A 55-year-old Fairbanks man has been indicted by a federal grand jury in a murder-for-hire plot.

The U.S. attorney’s office in Anchorage says in a release that Eric Donald Grabber is accused of having someone travel from Alaska to Indianapolis on Dec. 29 to kill someone in either Indiana or Michigan.

The intended victim is identified in court documents as “G.L.C. Jr.” Payment was to be $40,000. Authorities haven’t released other details.

Prosecutors say on Jan. 3, Grabber made a cellphone call to make sure the plot was being carried out.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Joe Bottini says by email that Grabber was arrested Thursday in Fairbanks. Arraignment was scheduled Friday.

The Anchorage Daily News reports Grabber is a licensed gun dealer apparently operating out of his home.
