On August 21st 1964, the Beatles flew from Los Angeles to Seattle and performed at Seattle Coliseum. Before the show, a press conference was held at the Edgewater Hotel. Following the press conference, each of the group were presented official certificates designating them honorary citizens of the state of Washington.
49 years later the cast and crew of Experience The Beatles with Rain entertained the local media with an acoustic set, including “Here Comes the Sun” from the 1969 Abbey Road album. The tribute band was introduced by local radio personality Mark Christopher, who happened to be an employee of the Edgewater Hotel in the 1970s.
RAIN performs the full range of The Beatles’ discography live onstage, including the most complex and challenging songs that The Beatles themselves recorded in the studio but never performed for an audience. From the early hits to later classics (I Want To Hold Your Hand, Hard Day’s Night, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Let It Be, Come Together, Hey Jude) and more.
RAIN will be performing LIVE at The Moore Theatre through Sunday, February 3. Tickets start at $27, and can be purchased online HERE.
