Police Release Names In Officer-Involved Shooting

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Anchorage police have released the names of two officers involved in a shooting that resulted in the death of an Anchorage man on Tuesday.

Police on Friday identified the two officers who shot and killed 25-year-old Carl Richard Bowie III as officers Roger Billiet and Alan Rydberg . Police say the two officers fired a total of seven shots at Bowie as he drove a stolen vehicle toward them.

Bowie was struck three times and died at the scene. A female passenger in the truck was not injured.
