Anchorage Man Charged In Stabbing Death

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — An Anchorage man has been charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of a relative.

Anchorage police say 49-year-old Donald Leroy Williams killed 23-year-old Henry Ningeok after a night of drinking that escalated into a fight.

Police on Thursday night took a report of a stabbing at a Newell Street trailer.

The found Ningeok with a stab wound to the chest.

Medics arrived and declared Ningeok dead at 10:45 p.m.

Police say several people were in the trailer.

Officers arrested Williams early Friday morning. He’s being held at the Anchorage Jail without bail.

Police say Ningeok’s death is the city’s sixth homicide in 2013.
