Anchorage Man Arrested On Murder Charge

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Anchorage police say a 20-year-old man has been arrested in the Feb. 18 fatal shooting of another man.

William Stewart Sharp is charged with first degree murder in the death of 26-year-old Purdy Alston.

Police say Alston was shot several time outside a home in the 1,000 block of East 20th Avenue.

According to police, Alston made it back inside before collapsing.

Police say Alston was taken to a hospital, where was later declared dead.
