(1090 The Fan) – The Seahawks’ defense is beefing up.
After snagging Cliff Avril, Seattle has agreed to give defensive end Michael Bennett a one-year, $5 million contract, according to NFL.com. The contract becomes official once Bennett passes a physical. ProFootballTalk.com first reported the deal.
It’s a reunion for Bennett who was signed as an undrafted free agent by Seattle in 2009 out of Texas A&M.
Bennett, 27, played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2012 recording nine sacks and 34 tackles.
