(1090 The Fan) – Though the Mariners have been relatively cool (sans the 16-0 win Monday) after a red-hot start, the offensive performance in Arizona this spring has been positive.

Guys who had horrible slumps in 2012 (Dustin Ackley, Justin Smoak) are showing signs of life; Ackley is hitting .375 with an on-base percentage of .405; Smoak is hitting .431 with 4 HRs.

The “new” guys: Raul Ibanez, Kendrys Morales, Mike Morse are also looking good.
