Robot Disables Explosive Device In Boardman

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office says an explosive device was found on a road in the Eastern Oregon city of Boardman.

The agency said Saturday that the device would have probably caused injuries if it had detonated. Instead, the Oregon State Police bomb squad used a robot to disable it.

The Boardman Police Department is leading the investigation.
