Pearl Jam, Music Superstars Offer Tickets For Activism

(CBS Seattle) — Seattle band Pearl Jam is joining some other big names in music participating in the Global Citizen Tickets Initiative. The goal is to get fans involved in fighting poverty, by rewarding them with concert tickets.

The artists, which include Bruce Springsteen, Black Sabbath, Neil Young and the Foo Fighters, will donate two tickets to every show they play for the next three years. Fans can earn points and apply them to a lottery for a change to win tickets.

For example, fans earn one point for sharing a Facebook video dealing with extreme poverty and 20 points for raising $20 or more for a participating charity.
