(CBS Seattle) — Bellevue is home to some of the country’s best high schools, according to Newsweek’s list of “America’s Best High Schools.”
The annual list ranks the 2,000 best public high schools. Bellevue’s International School ranked No. 2 in the state and No. 31 overall, followed by Newport High School, Interlake High School and Bellevue High School. Sammamish High School was ranked No. 19 in the state.
Schools were ranked based on graduation rate, percentage of students accepted to college, as well as the number of students taking AP classes and average ACT, SAT and AP scores, according to Newsweek.
International Community School in Kirkland was ranked No. 1 in Washington with an overall rank of 29.
