Tacoma Zoo’s Tiger Cub Makes Her Public Debut

(CBS Seattle) — The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium’s 3-week-old Sumatran tiger cub is saying hello to the public for the first time Thursday.

Her name is Kali, and zoo staff describe her as spunky and energetic. Kali was born April 17 and weighed about 2.5 pounds.

Visitors can see Kali in the Cub Den at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily.

The Point Defiance Zoo says Kali is the third Sumatran tiger born in North American this year. The species is critically endangered.
