Man Jumps Out Of Burning Car

(CBS Seattle) —  A Burien man jumped from his moving car after it caught fire Wednesday morning, according to KIRO TV.

The man was driving on Highway 518 in Seatac when the car caught fire, Washington State Patrol officials told KIRO. The car was traveling about 60 miles per hour when the man jumped; luckily no other cars hit him. He suffered only a broken ankle, cuts and bruises and minor burns. KIRO reported the car kept going for about a half mile before veering off the road into some bushes near the Sea-Tac Airport off ramp. A taxi nearby saw what happened and called 911.

The man told police he didn’t know what caused the car to catch on fire.
