(CBS Seattle) — The 30-year-old Tacoma Dome could soon be getting a new name, according to KING 5.
The city of Tacoma is considering selling the naming rights to raise funds for the aging facility, which is losing money and needs renovations.
According to KING, the city had to take more than $1 million from its general fund to subsidize the dome in 2011.
A previous effort to sell the dome’s naming rights to Comcast failed ten years ago.
