(CBS Seattle) — Give yourselves a pat on the back Seattle. We’re one of the smartest cities in the country, according to a new list from the great minds at Movoto Real Estate.
Seattle landed at number 7, one spot ahead of the smarties in San Francisco. (Wahoo!)
The Movoto team compared the top 100 most populated cities in the country based on six categories: universities or colleges per person, libraries per person, education level, museums per person, public school rank and media outlets.
Pittsburgh took the first spot due mostly to the high number of colleges and universities in the area. Orlando ranked second on the list for its colleges and universities and numerous media outlets. Washington, D.C. rounded out the top three for its many museums and high number of college graduates.
Seattle did pretty well when in came to education level. Only Irvine, California had more residents with a bachelor’s degree or higher.
