One Dead After Gorge Concert

QUINCY, Wash. (AP) — An autopsy is scheduled Monday on a man who may have died of a drug overdose at a weekend music festival at the Gorge Amphitheatre in central Washington.

Chelan County Coroner Wayne Harris says a 21-year-old man from the Seattle suburb of Des Moines died Sunday at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. His name was not released.

He had been at the Paradiso Festival, a sold-out two-day electronic music festival at the 20,000-person venue overlooking the Columbia River, about 120 miles east of Seattle.

KOMO News reported many were sickened by a drug called “Molly,” a form of ecstasy.

In addition to the Wenatchee hospital, Quincy Valley Medical Center in Quincy reported it had more than 100 overdose patients.
