(1090 The Fan) — It feels like after every win or loss from now through August, trade rumors are going to surround the half-dozen or so veteran players on the Mariners.

Today, CBS Sports’ Jon Heyman laid out the latest rumblings surrounding Seattle — specifically rumors regarding Oliver Perez, Kendrys Morales and Raul Ibanez. Heyman says all three of those players have been drawing a lot of interest — particularly from the Orioles and Braves. Here’s what general manager Jack Zduriencik told Heyman:

“We’ll see how this week goes. I’m not going to be the aggressor … I’m not shopping anyone.”

Heyman says one Mariners official called the team’s situation a “Catch-22″ because selling off key veteran pieces could cause them to go into a free fall and adversely affect their stash of top prospects who’ve already been called up.
