MARYSVILLE, Wash. (AP) — Police in Marysville, Wash., say a male customer in a Kmart store said he had a gun Wednesday evening and threatened “to shoot everyone in the store,” then left.
No one was hurt.
Police Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux says the man was seen on store surveillance video leaving before officers arrived.
The spokesman says the man was in the sporting goods section when he overheard an employee mention store security. Lamoureux says the comment was not directed at the man but he became very upset and told the employee he had a gun and was going to shoot everyone in the store.
The spokesman says officers have not found anyone who actually saw a weapon.
The man was described as about 6 feet tall and heavy-set, wearing a gray button shirt and a black bandanna around his head. He may have left with a heavy-set blonde woman.
Marysville is about 30 miles north of Seattle.
