(1090 The Fan) – CBS Sports’ Jon Heyman has made a list of the “bulls” and “bears” of the MLB trade market and several Mariners are trade bait.

Despite a feel-good home sweep of the Angels, the Mariners are all but guaranteed to be sellers at the end of the month being that the club is 13 games out of first place and 11 games out of a Wild Card spot.

Heyman notes that Raul Ibanez simply isn’t slowing down — or showing any indication that his age (41) will soon be catching up with him. He’s up to 24 home runs — four of which have come in his past ten games (a stretch in which he’s hitting .366 with 10 RBIs).

Kendrys Morales is also hot with a .367 average over seven games. Heyman says, “Like Ibanez, Morales is a free agent after the year, and while the Mariners don’t seem eager to trade either player, by the end of the month reality may set in. The Rays are believed to have checked in about the Mariners’ hitters, with the Rangers and Yankees among contenders who make sense.”
