Eric Wedge To Sit After ‘Mild Stroke’

(1090 The Fan) — Seattle Mariners manager Eric Wedge will not be in uniform for the upcoming series against the Minnesota Twins — instead he’ll be recovering from what doctors deemed a “mild stroke.”

Wedge left Safeco Field before the start of Monday’s game after experiencing dizziness. He was taken to the hospital and stayed an extra day.

Team officials say he’s at home now, feeling well and resting with his family. Doctors expect he will have a full and complete recovery.

Wedge will also stay home during the team’s road trip to Boston and Baltimore.
