(1090 The Fan) — Golden Tate and Stephen Williams both made sensational pass catches to highlight the first day of Seahawks training camp in front of a large and loud crowd at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton.  Williams played 11 games for the Arizona Cardinals the past 2 seasons.

Earl Thomas III had an interception and Ron Parker made a great play to bat away a Tarvaris Jackson pass.

The team did NOT wear pads on the first day of training camp, and several starting players did not participate due to injuries.  (see list below)

With Zach Miller resting his sore foot, several tight ends had a good first practice, including former basketball player Darren Fells, rookie Luke Willson, and former Juanita High School player Victor Marshall.
