Swartz Report From The VMAC – July 26, 2013
From training camp day 2…
A solid day for the defense with several passes deflected away by Richard Sherman and the secondary. DeShawn Shead from Portland State had an interception late in the session.
Fullback Michael Robinson did not participate in the workout, and linebacker Heath Farwell also watched the practice.
A few fans who did not have camp tickets watched from their boats off shore.
After practice Tarvaris Jackson spoke about his return to Seattle after the team traded him to Buffalo last season. The veteran quarterback says he has no hard feelings and is pleased to be back with a familiar offense.
Safety Earl Thomas III has cut off his hair, and told me it was just time to move on from an earlier phase in life. Thomas joked the new haircut makes him look younger, like a 24 year old.
Left tackle Russell Okung shared his reasons for running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain last month. The big man says he decided to travel to Spain and was just looking for things todo, so he signed up. The secret to not getting gored or trampled? Have a plan and stick with it during the 900 yards, Okung chuckled.
