Harvin’s Injury Will Require Surgery

(1090 The Fan) — Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin’s hip injury will require surgery.

Harvin first tweeted the news Tuesday evening.

The team later confirmed that the surgery is scheduled for Thursday.

Harvin has been bothered by discomfort in the area, but it’s not clear which hip is giving him trouble; he was in New York getting a second opinion.

The team was also without wide receiver Sidney Rice, who is in Europe undergoing a non-surgical procedure on his knee. Coach Pete Carroll said Rice is expected back at practice when he returns to Seattle.
