(CBS Seattle) — The man who stole a Bremerton woman’s cell phone posted a picture of himself on her Facebook page shortly after the crime.

Jeannie Allen told KING 5 News she lost her iPhone last week. She said she panicked because of all the personal and work e-mails and photos that she kept on her phone.

She told a friend about the theft and that’s when they discovered the thief had posted a picture of himself on Allen’s Facebook page. “I think he thought it was his Facebook page,” she told KING 5.

Allen’s friends had a little fun with the situation and added captions to the man’s picture reading “cell phone thief” and “needs belt worse than phone.” They posted the pictures on a community Facebook page and several people have posted sightings of the man.

Bremerton police are investigating, but haven’t found the thief yet.
