Robbery Suspect Runs From Police, Leaves Shoe Behind

(CBS Seattle) — Seattle police chased down and arrested a man accused of trying to rob a woman in Pioneer Square Sunday.

According to Seattle police, officers got the call just before 4 p.m. and immediately started searching the area near 2nd Avenue and Yesler Way. The victim gave police a description of the suspect. An officer found the suspect hiding under a car in a parking garage near 1st Avenue and Columbia Street. The suspect slid out from under the car and started running, but took off so quickly he ran right out of his shoe.

The officer found the suspect hiding under a different car on Western Avenue, and arrested the 38-year-old man.
