(CBS Seattle) — Seattle Police say an argument between two people in a park resulted in a stabbing which left the suspect covered in wasp spray.

According to responding officers, the argument at Seattle’s Freeway Park reached a boiling point at roughly 1:00 am on Wednesday. One man grabbed a knife and stabbed the other man in the back. One of the victim’s friends, who was nearby, grabbed a can of wasp spray and began spraying the suspect. The tactic caused the suspect to flee.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center where his condition is stable.

Police believe they have identified a suspect in the case and are currently searching for him.

According to the report, the suspect is currently dating the victim’s ex-girlfriend.
