(CBS Seattle) — A Seattle mother is facing assault charges following allegations she stabbed her son’s girlfriend the same night her son was shot in the leg, according to seattlepi.com.
King County prosecutors say Christina Lee Robinson stabbed her adult son’s girlfriend in the leg after finding the two of them in bed together at the family’s North Seattle apartment.
The 41-year-old allegedly found her son and the woman in bed together and felt “disrespected.” Robinson then reportedly began stabbing the bed and eventually caught the woman’s leg while doing so, slicing a large gash.
Robinson later admitted to the stabbing stabbing after responding police recovered a knife that was allegedly used in the attack.
Court documents indicate Robinson’s son had been shot in the leg, however, the prosecutor says, “no one at the scene claimed to have any knowledge of the shooting.”
Robinson has been charged with second-degree assault.
