BREMERTON, Wash (CBS SEATTLE) - What does a convicted bank robber do once he’s release from prison?
If you’re Joshua James Driskell, say police, you rob the same bank…and the same bank teller.
Driskell was convicted of holding up the Key Bank in East Bermerton back on Sept. 24, 2010, reports KOMO News. He was sentenced to 50 months in prison for second degree robbery.
When police investigated the latest robbery at that branch, they didn’t have to look hard to find their suspect.
Police say surveillance cameras caught clear photos of Driskell, as well as his getaway car. He was arrested at his apartment only three hours after the crime, the car was parked in the apartment complex.
Bremerton Police Chief Steve Strachan was bemused.
“One month after getting out of prison, he robs the same bank…you simply cannot make this stuff up,” Strachan said. “And it gets weirder, we just confirmed that it was the same teller.”
