Wind Chills Down To Minus 45 In Southeastern Wyo.
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Temperatures are below zero across much of Wyoming and wind chills are making the air feel that much colder.
Laramie and the Shirley Basin both got down to 31 below zero last night. The National Weather Service says those were two coldest places in Wyoming overnight.
Laramie’s reading was close to the record low there of minus 33. The wind chill in Laramie got down to minus 45 last night.
Other frigid readings across Wyoming overnight included 19 below in Cheyenne, 22 below in Casper, 24 below in Rawlins and Pinedale, and 18 below in Rock Springs and Gillette. Temperatures dropped to 14 below in Riverton, 17 below in Jackson and 11 below in Cody.
High temperatures across Wyoming are forecast to remain in the single digits through the weekend.
