HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) — Washington County deputies arrested a man accused of stabbing his girlfriend’s ex-husband with a knife during an argument at a Christmas party in Aloha.

Sgt. Bob Ray says 31-year-old Diubel Navarro-Gonzalez fled the scene in a white SUV, but was taken into custody after police spotted the vehicle in Beaverton.

Ray says the 40-year-old victim suffered “multiple upper body injuries,” but his condition has stabilized in the hospital.

Navarro-Gonzalez was booked into the Washington County jail on charges of felony assault and unlawful use of a weapon.

His first court appearance is Thursday at 3 p.m. Bail is $250,000.
